   NOTICE: THE SURREY COUNTY COUNCIL, TILFORD STREET (D104) TILFORD, TEMPORARY ONE-WAY TRAFFIC ORDER 2019    31 July, 2019

This is advanced warning that during the closure of Tilford east bridge (which is required to enable Surrey County Council to carry out refurbishment works), there will be an imposition of a one-way system in Tilford Street, Tilford. Depending on the phase of works, this will be either a “clockwise” one-way system or an “anti-clockwise” one-way system. Tilford Road, Tilford will remain two-way. The direction of the on-way will be confirmed on-site. Please find the legal notice below.

NOTICE: THE SURREY COUNTY COUNCIL, TILFORD STREET (D104) TILFORD, TEMPORARY ONE-WAY TRAFFIC ORDER 2019

SURREY COUNTY COUNCIL PROPOSE TO MAKE the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to temporarily impose a one-way system in those lengths of Tilford Street (D104) Tilford surrounding Tilford Green (Registered Village Green No.62). The one-way system will operate clockwise or anti-clockwise depending on the phase of the works. This Order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the said road, namely bridge refurbishment works, to be carried out by Surrey County Council. The Order will commence on 12 August 2019 for a period of 18 months, however it is anticipated that the one-way systems will be in force for 12 months. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary one-way systems will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. The above restrictions shall not apply to vehicles being used in relation to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform; or in accordance with any restriction or requirement indicated by traffic signs placed on the road by or on behalf of the Police. (N.B. C28 Tilford Road will remain two-way during the imposition of the “anti-clockwise” or “clockwise” one-way in D104 Tilford Street)
