   Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Notice, Various Roads in Waverley    7 June, 2018

SURREY COUNTY COUNCIL PROPOSE TO MAKE the above mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in those lengths of
a) Tilford Road (C28) Farnham as extends from its junction with The Reeds Road to its junction with Menin Way. North-bound traffic will be diverted via The Reeds Road, Frensham Road, Old Farnham Lane and Great Austins. South bound traffic will be diverted via Great Austins, Old Farnham Lane, Frensham Road, Back Lane and The Reeds Road.
b) Hale House Lane (D127) Churt as extends from its junction with Crossways to its junction with Tilford Road. The alternative route for traffic will be via Crossways, Churt Road, Jumps Road and Tilford Road or this route in reverse order.
c) Seale Road (C21) Elstead as extends from its junction with Farnham Road to its junction with Littleworth Lane. The alternative route for traffic will be via Farnham Road, Camp Hill, Botany Hill and Littleworth Road or this route in reverse order.
d) Windmill Plain (D192) Cranleigh as extends from its junction with Horseblock Hollow to its junction with Mill Hollow. The alternative route for traffic will be via Horseblock Hollow, Barhatch Lane, Brookhurst Road, Cranleigh Road, The Street, Shere Road, Pitch Hill and Mill Hollow or this route in reverse order.
This Order shall come into operation on 29 June 2018 for a period of eighteen months. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closures will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle's owner. This Order is required to enable carriageway patching and/or maintenance and/or application of surface treatment to take place on behalf of Surrey County Council in those lengths described in this Notice. Access at locations a), b), c) and d) will be maintained for pedestrians, dismounted cyclists and equestrians at all times. Access to premises within the closure will be maintained for residents, businesses and emergency services under direction of a banksman. All other vehicular traffic and HGVs will be required to follow the signed diversion routes. In the event that it is necessary to restrict any access at any time, under Section 3 of the Act, the road can only be closed for a maximum of 8 hours in any 24 hour period.
